Local Contest: First Place

So! Back in late February my college library held an art competition for the students in three categories: Painting, Photography, and Drawing, and both students and faculty would vote on their favorites. The top winners in each category were to receive $50 movie theater gift cards (one each) and get extended showcasing. Well, I submitted my art midterm Together and won first place. It was so exciting!

I'm not sure why I didn't make a journal entry about this or something back when I found out in early March... Very strange indeed.

The photo here is of each top contestant in the three categories, and the first being an oil painting of a Mexican girl, and the second being a photo of a flower in snow and ice. All well deserved placings! They look amazing in person. My apologies for the size of the photo here - it was taken by one of the staff.

On a side note, wow I'd make my drawing darker now! It looks so light compared to how I draw now, haha.
