My art generally focuses on human form, anatomy, and character, with splashes of nature studies and "original character" art thrown in there as well. I have three primary styles of drawing: Realism, sketching (detailed and non-detailed), and "original," all usually done with graphite.

I'm a college student, 21, and a great lover of art. I was reasonably artistic as a kid but stopped drawing in my middle years, until I started again from scratch almost 4 years ago.

My primary artistic influences were of the Greek, Roman, and Renaissance artistic giants, and in that vein I love to draw people and have a great appreciation for anatomy, with my goal being to someday rival the artistic giants of old. Graphite is my favorite medium to work with but I'm looking to branch out soon with charcoal, digital art, and watercolors.

I love nature, learning, fitness, art, science, religion, philosophy, writing, photography, and a whole bunch of stuff. ^_^

Greetings, artisans!

I'm currently wrapping up my semester, so I'll be busy for a little while (as I have been!). However, I'm going to have a lot to upload. My mission for the end of the semester is to have a completely full sketchbook, so I've been doing around 2-3 live pen sketches a day lately. After doing full-form, my current sketch studies are mainly focused on heads and faces. Next up, I'm guessing, will be torso.

It's struck me how impossible it is usually for me to draw myself. I've turned every self-sketch into someone entirely different.

This summer...
-- I plan on having a contest, with various prizes. As to what theme, I don't yet know!
-- I plan to put my figure drawing lessons to work in OC art.
-- I'm going to seriously push my portfolio, and get as much experience (and money) as I can.

Also, switching gears completely, my friend

is in a toy-making competition and made a super cool piece. All the entries are judged based on FB likes. You can read about it here [link] . And it's legit, don't worry. xD

Hmm, I suppose that's all for now. I'm off to finish a painting and age (coffee stain) some paper for a poster assignment. I have no idea how to properly stain paper so wish me luck. xD
